Kenneth H. Tomlinson

Kenneth H. Tomlinson, 98, of Silvis, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Crosstown Square, Silvis, IL.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Kenneth was born on April 7, 1919 in Mercer County, the son of Henry and Florence (Stone) Tomlinson. He married Verle Edwards on January 26, 1941. She preceded him in death on March 15, 1986.

Kenneth enjoyed camping, fishing and he also farmed in his earlier years. He retired from Farmall in 1973. Kenneth lived in Mission, TX for 32 years and then returned to the Quad Cities in 2002. He resided at Crosstown Square for the last eight years.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories his son, Terry (Pam) Tomlinson, Dubuque, IA; daughters, Judy Kouski, East Moline, IL, Paula (Jim) Crane, Moline, IL; stepdaughter, Nancy (Steve) Schroeder, Esterville, IA; and 8 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Verle, 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

So Sorry to hear about your loss. Prayers for healing hearts. We have known Paula first as neighbor, friend, and also does our hair. I know how much her and Robin will miss him they spent lots of time with him. Thinking of all of you at this time.

I will miss your dad he was a wonderful man. I will never forget the day he came to Crosstown to look around and wanted to move in that day, I'm thankful for that day. He is now at peace and the temp is perfect up there. Love Patty
