Vernon Delles
Vernon F. Delles, 73, of East Moline passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at his home.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, East Moline.
Vernon was born August 31, 1943, in Moline, the son of Clarence and Ethel Essex Delles.
Vernon was a truck driver for Alter and Sons for several years and he finished his working career working for the Village of Carbon Cliff in maintenance. His greatest joys were watching Dallas play baseball, stock car races, his dogs, and watching western movies.
Vernon is survived by sons, Rick (Melissa)Delles, Coal Valley, Scottie Delles, East Moline, Terry (Jennifer) Hedge, Jonesboro, AR; daughter, Tonya Hedge, East Moline, eight grandchildren, ten great -grandchildren; sisters Trudy Delles, Galva, and Josephine Delles, Galva.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Beverly, brothers Bill and Don, and life partner Linda Hedge.
Memorials may be made to the family.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire family. Grandpa, as we fondly referred to him at Eagle Ridge was a ray of sunshine in the halls of the school. I've enjoyed getting to know him for the past 15 years. We will surely miss him.

I remember Butch with Love & laughter, He made my day brighter every time I saw him.  he never judged & was a truly good man.  I will remember him fondly & pray for his family(was my family for 13 years).  Love you cowboy!! Rest easy my friend!

you can eat the wild garlic raw with bread or you can make a pesto of it or it also can be cooked. We cooked it and added some oil, pepper and salt and ate it with other vebleagtes and potatoes.
