Angela Marie Pulliam

Angela Marie Pulliam, 55, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Moline, went home to be with her Lord on February 1, 2019 at her residence.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 8, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd.  Rev. Kenneth Porter will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour before services. Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to the family. 

Angela was born February 25, 1963 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Leon and Barbara Williams Pulliam.  She was a graduate of United Township High School, class of 1981, where she was an accomplished basketball player.  She attended Olney Central College, and Indiana University where she studied criminology.  During her college years, she became a star basketball player.  Out of college, she moved to Orlando, FL where she enjoyed working at a children’s center.  Angela received numerous awards there for her caring work.  After she left there, she worked in East Moline as a manager of a telemarketing company where she worked hard and yet she and her fellow employees had a lot of fun. She moved to Phoenix, worked for a telemarketing company, where she became well known in Phoenix as the best. 

She was a very loving, giving, and caring person.  On Sunday mornings, she would visit the homeless and bring them food from McDonalds.  She was a member of Creative Life Fellowship, Phoenix.  She enjoyed her many caring friends there.  She enjoyed mountain climbing and skydiving.  She did daily 4:00 a.m. yoga meditations.

Angela loved her family very much and she always stayed in touch with family.  She looked forward to the annual family gatherings. 

Left to cherish her memory are her mother; Barbara Pulliam, Moline, father; Leon Pulliam, Galesburg; sisters, Cynthia Patterson, East Moline, and Syndi Ridgeway, Alabama, uncles; Calvin Pulliam, Bellevue, IL, Earvie Pulliam, Rock Island, Robert Pulliam, Rock Island, James Pulliam, Rock Island, Harry Williams, Rock Island, aunts; Mary Pulliam, Bellevue, IL, and Alvis Williams, CA, nephews; Tyrell Patterson and family, Bettendorf, and Terrance Patterson and family, USN, Japan, special friends, Karla  Monterroso, Ann Caldwell, Shennay Perryman.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Leon Pulliam, Jr. and brother-in-law, Tyrone Patterson, and grandparents, Harry and Thelma Williams.
