Beverly Ann Barker, 76, of East Moline, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her home.
Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., 1902-3rd Avenue East Moline. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
Beverly was born February 20, 1943, in Albia, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Katherine Parker McKim. Beverly married Larry Barker October 13, 1961 in Kansas City, MO. He passed in 1993.
She worked as a cook, waitress, bartender, caretaker, and door monitor last working at Park View Terrace retiring in 2010. She was a scraper. Beverly enjoyed shooting pool and bartending. She enjoyed running demolition derbies and races. Beverly enjoyed spending time at the river and gardening. She crocheted and knitted for her family. She loved visits from her grandbabies. Most of all she had a tremendous love for her family.
Survivors are sons; Gary (Tammy) Lee Barker and David “Beefy” Barker, both of East Moline, grandchildren; Brittany (Nathan) Bode, Breanne (Jon) Mc Clave, Bobby Joe (Amanda) Barker Jr., Brennan Evans, and Kayla Barker (Gage Ervin), 9 great-grandchildren, brothers; Paul McKim, Jerry McKim, Eddie McKim, all of Albia, IA, sisters; Alzina Bentley, Dorothy Survis, Carol Stephens, Rosie Tipton, Rita Crall, Geraldine Stewart, Norma Scales, Barbie Casper, and Kathy Edmondson all from Albia, IA, special friends; Cecil Field and John Poe; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Larry Barker, son; Bobby Joe Barker Sr., sisters; Diane Valentine, and Leona Ostermeyer, and brother; Harold McKim.
