Christine E. Keim, 83, of Atkinson, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo, Illinois.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., 1902-3rd Avenue, East Moline. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services. Memorials may be made to Hospice Campasses or Hillcrest Home.
Christine Ellen Mizer was born on September 13, 1935 in Lebanon, Missouri, the daughter of Ervin Mizer and Vernie (Bryant) Mizer. She married Claude Brown, Sr.in 1950; he passed in 1972. She married Wendall Keim August 14, 1965 in East Moline; he passed June 8, 2016. Christine worked at the bakery in Schlegel’s Drugstore, LeClaire, Iowa, last working in 1998.
In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling. She loved to crochet and fish. Christine enjoyed quilting. She quilted for all her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Rita (Robert) Fuqua, Atkinson, IL, Linda (Jack) Franks, Geneseo, IL, Stephen (Lorna) Brown, Cambridge, IL, Diana (Todd) Johnson, Cambridge, IL, and Laurie (Stan) Wardlow, Montrose, IL, 21 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren: sisters, Helen Holderfield, Moline, Junie Knuth, Davenport, and Dottie (Louie) Dickerson, Bettendorf; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, daughter, Carol Brown, and son, Claude Brown, Jr.
