Jerry Hill Obituary
Jerry L. Hill, 68, of Silvis, IL, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Visitation will be Monday, March 5, 2012, 4:00 7:00 p.m., at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, with services on Tuesday, March 6 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Kent Umbarger will officiate. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Jerry was born May 28, 1943 in Muscatine, Iowa, he was the son of George and Juanita Hill. He married Carole Osbourne on May 19, 1963 in East Moline. Jerry was a welder at John Deere for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, old cars, and Nascar racing. He loved spending time with his family and was very proud of his grandchildren. He loved his dog, Patch.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Brandi (Ron) Erickson, Geneseo, IL, Cori (Brian) Rossmiller, Moline, IL son, Jerry (Jane) Hill, Silvis, IL, grandchildren, Jordan, Kaytlyn, Emilee, Cody, Jacob, Gracie and Nick, sisters, Donetta (Larry) Helm, Opheim, IL, Brenda (Harold) Roggendorf, Bettendorf, IA, Georgie Thomas, Florida, and brother, Bill Hill, Joslin, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sandy and brother, George.
