Annie D. “Dot” Walton-Jackson, 77, of East Moline, IL, passed away 23rd day August 2022, at her home. Visitation will be 5 -7 pm Monday, August 29, 2022 at Sullivan Ellis - Mortuary Ltd, 1902-3rd Avenue East Moline. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Annie Dorothy Patterson was born May 23, 1945 in Colquit, Georgia, and she was raised by her grandmother, Annie, her name sake. She was the daughter of Dolphus Patterson Sr. and Lizzie (Simmons) Patterson. Annie relocated to East Moline at the age of 7. Annie attended United Township High School and she married Ralph Walton in 1962. She later married Ernest Jackson, Jr in 1990.
Annie loved to style her hair and she was the stylist for the neighborhood. She also had a knack for decorating. Annie had a way of speaking her mind. Annie was previously employed at the East Moline State Hospital, Moline Public Hospital, and retiring from Franciscan Hospital in 1995, as a healthcare worker. Annie was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, East Moline. Annie’s world revolved around her children and grandchildren; they were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her children: Veronica, Deanitra, Donna Walton, La Tres (Dave) Lambrecht, and Jermane Jackson, step children, Andre and Ashley Jackson, grandchildren, Jermane Jackson II, Kane Jackson, Braylon Walton-Johnson, and Ariana Walton-Lambrecht, great-grandchild, Truuth Johnson, siblings, Dolphus Patterson II, Delois (Nelson) Johnson, Rose (Lonnie) Reed, Jerome Patterson Sr., and David Baker, cousin, Lillie Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, special friends, Patricia Simmons, Centreece Harris.
