Barbara Ruth (Hodge) Hemm

Barbara Hemm, 80, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at her home surrounded by her children.

There will be no services as per her wishes.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

Barbara Ruth Hodge was born May 8, 1945 in Hope, Arkansas; the daughter of Marion Herbert and Juanita Ruth (Miller) Hodge.  She was one of eleven children.  Barbara last worked for Isle of Capri, Bettendorf, Iowa as a bartender.  She enjoyed taking care of her animals; dogs, cats, ducks, and rabbits. (They were almost better than people!) Barbara enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved cooking holiday feasts for her family.  Barbara loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Gina Willman, East Moline, and Chad Hemm, East Moline, her grandchildren, Hali Callahan, Deven Willman, Mackenzie Hemm, and Chance Hemm, her great-grandchildren, Maci Hernandez, Mia Hernandez, Kayden Willman, Parker Willman, Camryn Callahan, and one on the way, her sisters, Molly Fields, AR, and Connie Thompson, Santa Fee, TX.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandchildren, Brittany Christina Hemm, and Collin James Hemm, 7 sisters, and 1 brother.
