Barbara L. (Young) Roberts

Barbara L. Roberts, 73, of East Moline passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at River Crossing of Moline.

 Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorial service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2023 at the QC Sanctuary, 1501-John Deere Pkwy, Silvis, Illinois.  Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. till services.  Associate Pastor Don Bailey will officiate with Elder Steve Clark assisting.

Barbara L. Young was born September 13, 1950; the daughter of William Young and Brucey Gager. She was a 1968 graduate of Rock Island High School.  Barbara received her bachelors from Western University in management. She was a lifelong member of The Sanctuary Quad Cities, Silvis where the church members became her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Tony (Stephanie) Roberts Jr of Arkansas, Sean Roberts of East Moline, daughter Jennifer Purifoy of Georgia, granddaughter Trisha McCoullough of East Moline, grandson Nathanial Smith of East Moline, special friends Cheri Moore of East Moline, Kathy Spinks of East Moline, Starr Carlson of East Moline, and Don Bailey of East Moline.

She is preceded in death by her sister Sue Parker, brother Gregory Young and her son Odis Roberts. The family would like to thank The Sanctuary Quad Cities for all their assistance.
