Bette M. Cole, 81, of Moline, formerly of Carbon Cliff, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd, 1902-3rd Avenue East Moline. Rev. Scott Culley of World Outreach Center, Silvis will officiate. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Gardens. Covid restrictions will be required; face masks and social distancing.
Bette M. Dettman was born September 8, 1939 in Dixon, Iowa; the daughter of Leonard and Mabel (Ewoldt) Dettman. Bette married Jim Cole June 11, 1974 at Hattesburg, Mississippi. He passed January 27, 2011. Bette owned a printing business, working from her home. She worked as a scale master for River Stone Group, Cleveland, Illinois for sixteen years, last working December 1, 2013.
Bette was a member of the Carbon Cliff Fire Department Auxiliary, and Eastern Star. She enjoyed bowling and cross stitch.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Donald and her sister-in-law, Jean Dettman of Newton, Iowa, Nieces, Aubrey (Ryan) Ingersoll and Emma Dettman, Nephews, Mitchell (Kayla) Dettman, Jacob Dettman, great nieces, Aria Ingersoll, Piper Dettman and great nephew, Andrew Ingersoll and a family friend, John Swan, Colona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Mabel Dettman, her husband, Jim Cole and her beloved cat, Tinker.
