Bonnie Bell (Bragg) Clemons

Bonnie B. Clemons, 82, of East Moline, passed away, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at UnityPoint Health, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 22 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., 1902-3^rd Avenue East Moline.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services.  Rev. P. Wonder Harris will officiate. Private family burial will follow at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to the Dementia Society.org.

Bonnie Bragg was born October 1, 1939 in Louisville, Mississippi; the daughter of John and Nellie (Clay) Bragg.  Bonnie married Virgil Leon Clemons July 21, 1973, in Louisville, Mississippi.  She was employed at the Illinois State Hospital, John Deere Harvester, and Oscar Mayer.  Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and going to the casino.  No one was a stranger to Bonnie.  Her favorite song was “Rough side of the Mountain”. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of forty seven years, Virgil Clemons, her daughters, Sheila Haynes, East Moline, Vanessa (James Huston) Maiden, Rock Island, Belinda Rayam, Denver CO, her son, Greg (Brooke) Clemons, Milan,  her grandchildren Cherise Perdue, Donte Ellis, both of Denver, CO,  Brian Maiden II and Raquel (Dana) Witschen, both of Rock Island, and Hayden Clemens, Milan, her sisters, Mae Bragg, Petal, MS,  Lorine Pierson, Moline, and Shirley Clemons, Dongola, IL, her stepchildren, Debra Clemons, Rock Island, Anthony Clemons, Atlanta, GA,  Michael Clemons, Rock Island, Gina Clemons, Moline, Denise Clemons, MI,  and Angela Clemons, Rock Island. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie Bragg, sister, Mary Dorothy Bragg, brothers, John, Willie, Frank, Wilson, and David Bragg.
