Breona Elizabeth Dunbar-Guthrie

Breona E. Dunbar-Guthrie, 31, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 in a tragic accident.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1501-6^th Avenue, East Moline. Visitation will be two hours before services.  Pastor P. W. Harris will officiate.  Burial will follow at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Breona’ s children. 

Breona Elizabeth Dunbar-Guthrie was born May 13, 1991 in Moline; the daughter of Bryon Guthrie and Dana Dunbar.  She was a 2009 graduate of United Township High School, East Moline.  Breona was a Licensed Practical Nurse, last working at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  In Breona’s younger years, she enjoyed cheerleading and gymnastics.  She liked karaoke, crafting and DIY projects.  Breona loved being mom and helping people.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Dana Dunbar, Rock Island, her father, Bryon Guthrie, East Moline, her sons, Ryan, Rylan, and Ramere Speights, all of Rock Island, her siblings, Lamont Austin, Jr., Milan, Daisha Dunbar,  East Moline, Ryann Dunbar, Rock Island, Quentin Jefferson,  Rock Island, Ryan Hilburn, Dallas, Texas,  and Yasmine Johnson,  East Moline, her maternal grandparents, Carolyn (Steve) Gabriel, Rock Island, and Graylon Kelly, Paducah, Kentucky, and her paternal grandparents, Joyce Guthrie, Maryland, and Phil Guthrie, Rock Island, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her sons, Ramah Speights, Jr., and Ryland Speights.
