Catherine Hays Obituary
Catherine Frances Hays, 81, of East Moline, IL, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL. Her visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 12:00 1:00 p.m., at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, with services following at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Gregory Jozefiak will officiate. Burial is in the Rock Island National Cemetery following services.
Catherine was born November 16, 1930, to Virgil and Elsie. She was united in marriage to Steve George Soulis on June 7, 1947. She later married Richard Allan Hays. Steve and Richard preceded her in death.
She attended local Catholic schools, last attending St. Marys Academy in Nauvoo, Illinois. Catherine belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 1839 in Silvis, Illinois.
Catherine is survived by her 5 children and spouses, Linda Fausett, Davenport, Catherine Cain, East Moline, Angela (John) Conner, Moline, Robert (Earlene), Cordova, Tamara (Edward) Wilson, East Moline, 9 grandchildren, Lisa (Danial) Ingram, Davenport, Rick (Julie) Garrett, Mesa, AZ, Randy Yates, Davenport, Nikki Rose, Los Angeles, CA, Julian Conner, Moline, Kevin Hays, Moline, Nicholas Wilson, Catherine "Kayte" Wilson, and Mandy Soulis, both of East Moline, 10 great grandchildren, Aaron, Cody, Danial, Chris, Gabby, Ethan, Ayva, Acacia, Adia and Ashlynd, 5 great great grandchildren, Dylan, Kaylen, Marshall, Jordan and Marlie, 3 sisters, Shirley Stewart, Carol Smith, and Pat (Kenny) Schaecher, and brother, Charles "Chuck" (Kathy) DeBates. She loved her family and playing the slots.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouses, granddaughter, Destiny Wilson, sister, Marie Kelly and brother, Henry DeBates.
