Charles “Charlie, Fizz” Brown, Sr. 78, of East Moline, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
There will be no services at this time. His body was donated to the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa.
Charles Edward Brown was born January 1, 1943 in Moline, Illinois; the son of George and Allison (Burge) Brown. Charlie married Tracy Robertson, November 27, 1993 in their East Moline home. He was a laborer thru Laborers Union, Local 309. Charlie retired in 1999. He loved to watch and bet on sports, go fishing, gamble at the casinos, watch the horses at the racetrack, talk to his friends at the bars, and to travel down south to see his relatives. He was a big Chicago Cubs fan and he was so happy he got to see the Cubs win the World Series. He was a true Union man. Charlie would help anyone if he could.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tracy Brown, daughter, Georgia Peterson, son Benjamin Brown, grandkids Kristina (Kyle) Ziegler, Bree Warner, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Peterson, Jacob Peterson, Lucas (Jerrica) Brown, Sabrina Brown, nephews Tommy Rice and Corby Brown and 12 great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Charlie Brown, Jr., his sisters, Ann Rice, Georgia Willemkens, and his brothers, Darryl Brown and Craig Brown.
