Charles C. Donelson, 66, of Silvis, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at OSF Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, IL, with Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 p.m.

Charles was born July 25, 1950, in Memphis, TN, son of William and Alice (Holiday) Donelson. He married Lucretia Martin on June 17, 1973.

Charles enjoyed fishing, cooking, sports and being outside.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Lucretia Donelson, Silvis, IL; sons, Charles Donelson, Jr., Sam Donelson, both of East Moline, IL, Joseph (Christine) Martin, Silvis, IL, Terrence Martin, Dimitri Martin, both of Moline, IL; daughters, Annie (Chardale) Govain, Silvis, IL, Alice (Robert) Clark, Tessa Donelson, both of Moline, IL, Kay Childs, East Moline, IL; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Ervie (Juanita) Donelson, William Donelson, both of Rock Island; sisters, Willa Simon, San Diego, CA, Dermetra Morrow, Rock Island, IL, Clarice (Charles) Miller, Rock Island, IL, Dorothy (Walter) Hayslett, Davenport, IA, Eara (Merritt) Caples, Davenport, IA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Donelson, sisters, Elsa Mae Hester and Dalnita Harrington.
