Cheryl A. Neels, 77, of Silvis, passed away at UnityPoint Medical Center, Rock Island, on Friday, May. 12, 2023.
As per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
Cheryl Cahalan was born June 26, 1945; the daughter of John Woodrow and Gretta May (Huffman) Cahalan. She married Theodore B. Neels, March 23, 1974. Cheryl last worked for BarJan as an assembler, retiring in 2010.
Cheryl enjoyed long car rides and camping. She loved to plant flowers and spend time on her patio, enjoying a cocktail.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son , Chad (Stacy) Hintze, of East Moline, her daughter, Shurla Cullison, of East Moline, her son, Bart Gard, of Rock Island, her son, Dusty Gard, of Silvis, and her daughter, Holly (Bryan) of Lexington, Illinois, , her grandchildren, Kris Hintze, Kaitlyn Fox, Allsion Rinehert, Shannon Layman, Sarah Eishele, Scott Nichols, Malorie Gard, Nick Lowery, Chaz Isaacson, Rory Lowery, and Erin Lowery, her great-grandchildren, Baby Hintze, Kamden Vanwatermeulen, Jayden Cairns, Jaclynn Cairns, and Kaiya Lowery, her brother, John (Jan) Cahalan, Waukon, Iowa.
She was preceded by her husband, Theodore Neels, her parents, John and Gretta Cahalan, and her sister, Jan Danaher.
