Daisy Robinson Obituary
Daisy Marie Robinson, 82, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Trinity Rock Island. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5, 2014, from 12:00 1:00 p.m. at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, IL with services following at 1:00 p.m. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Daisy was born September 5, 1931 in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of Robert D. and Hazel (Curtis) Marshall. She married Arthur Dean Robinson on July 29, 1950 in LeClaire, IA, and shared over 63 years in blessed matrimony. Daisy was an excellent homemaker, wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. A Gentle Soul who only had kind works for anyone, and accepted people just as they were no judgement.
She enjoyed her life as a homemaker and mother. Her husband, children and grandchildren cherished her completely.
She enjoyed trips to the casino with her siblings, bowling, bingo with her mom, going to Bluegrass Festivals with her husband.
She made every gathering and holiday special for her family.
She made may of the outfits for many of the Bluegrass Bands that her husband Dean was associated with. She won an award for her amazing biscuits she prepared at one of her jobs.
Daisy is survived by her husband, Dean, daughters, Cynthia (Larry) Marlow, Indiannapolis, IN, Gayleen (Mitch) Callihan, Colona, IL, Pamela (Cecil) Cole, Midwest City, OK, and son, James Robinson, Milan, IL, brothers, Robert D. Marshall and Raymond (Christine) Marshall, both of Geneseo, IL, sister, Betty Abney, Port Byron, IL, 9 grandchildren, Mike (Jennifer), Davenport, IA, Chris (Kristina), Noblesville, IN, Tim (Shelly), Lumberton, TX, Patrick, Midwest City, OK, Tom, Indianapolis, IN, Sean, Oklahoma City, OK, Matt (Tracy) Indianapolis, Mark (Rebecca), Indianapolis, and Shannon, Midwest City, OK, and 9 great grandchildren.
Being the beautiful person she was, inside and out, she will definitely be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Jane Leitner.
