Darryl M. Stokes, 56, of Bettendorf, IA, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 with Memorial Service following at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Seventh-day Adventist Church, Davenport, IA.

Darryl was born on June 28, 1961 in Newark, NJ, the son of Frank and Shirley (Markett) Stokes. He married Kelly Coppage on September 24, 1998 in Waterloo, IA.

Darryl enjoyed his church. He was a family man who loved spending time with his family. Darryl also liked helping other people.

Darryl leaves to cherish his memories wife, Kelly Stokes, Bettendorf, IA; sons, Kyron Coppage, Bettendorf, IA, Marshondis Coppage, Waterloo, IA; daughters, Danielle (Damond) Anderson, Haldon, NJ, Dana Stokes, Newark, NJ, Darcell Stokes, Bettendorf, IA, Dinah Stokes, Bettendorf, IA; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Maurice Stokes, Delaware, MD, Gary Stokes, Newark, NJ, Jamell (Lucretia) Stokes, Edison, NJ; sisters, Avia (Wayne) Riley, Plainfield, NJ, Sherrie Bloomfield, Newark, NJ; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Damar, and grandmother.
