Debra J. Staley, 64, of East Moline, passed away at her home Thursday, November 12, 2020.
A visitation will be 10:00-12:00 p.m, Friday, November 27, 2020. Due to Illinois guidelines, ten people can be in the funeral home at a time. The visitation can be viewed on Facebook-SullivanEllisMortuary Everyone must wear a mask at all times and social distance. Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
Debra Jean Staley was born June 26, 1956 in Moline, Illinois; the first child of John Ponce Jr. and Betty (Hutchison) Ponce. She was a 1974 graduate of United Township High School, East Moline. Debbie worked as a candymaker for Fresh Pak and Brachs, a waitress for Ryan’s Steak House, and I Hop, last working in 2010.
Debbie was a die-hard Cubs fan. She enjoyed bowling and bingo. Her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
Those left to cherish her memory are her life-long partner, Dean Bystrom, of East Moline, her children, Tina (Joe) Martzahn of Bettendorf, John (Andrea) Staley of Reynolds, Illinois, Michael Staley of Silvis, Toshow Bystrom of Moline, and Gina Williams of Silvis, her siblings, Jeffrey Ponce, Sr. Silvis, Brian (Donna) Ponce, Coal Valley, Kevin Ponce, Ionia, Iowa, David Ponce (Sheila Gosa) of Hampton, and Jody Paup of Moline, fifteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Ponce.
