Denise Trice Obituary

Denise L. Trice, of Moline, went to be with Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 16, 2025.  We will gather to celebrate her home going on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m.

Denise Lore Trice was born in East Moline, Illinois, March 14, 1954: the daughter of Ellie Hugh and Lila (Allen) Trice. Denise graduated from United Township High School in East Moline.  There she met her significant other, Timothy Davis, together they had an amazing son, Phayzon Trice.  Denise confessed her life to Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she song in the choir.  She loved baseball and shooting pool.  She could beat anyone that was brave enough to get on the table.  She loved cooking, grilling, and making our mom’s homemade BBQ sauce.  Denise loved her family and loved to feed them at all the gatherings. She was everyone’s “Aunt Niecy”.  She loved to dance, always the loudest, life of the party! She loved her family with such a genuine heart but could cut you down as quickly as she picked you up.

Those she leaves to honor her memories are her only son, Phayzon Trice (Cherylanda), her handsome grandson, Keishon and her beautiful granddaughter, Seneniti Trice. Her siblings are Deborah (Tony) Davis, Ronald Trice, Josephine Trice, Tammy Trice, and Lucky (Angie Mitchell, her favorite nephew “Franchvon” as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ellie and Lila Trice, brothers, Michael and Glenn, one sister, Coreen, and a nephew, Dietrich (Butter).
