Dennis R. Dyer, 70, of East Moline, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m, Tuesday, February 19, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd, 1902-3rd Avenue East Moline. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors or Disabled American Veterans.
Dennis was born April 27, 1948, the son of Howard Sr. and Hazel Bradshaw Dyer. He married Susan Thorstenson April 22, 1995 in East Moline. He retired from John Deere PDC, Milan as a warehouseman last working in 2004.
He was a member of the Illowa Sport Flyers where he was editor of the newsletter and web manager. Dennis was very good at building computers and computer programing. He also enjoyed photography. His grandchildren meant the world to him.
Survivors include his wife; Susan, children; Jon (Erica) Thorstenson, Woodhull, IL, and Danielle (James)Lance, East Moline, grandchildren; Katherine Lance, Moline, Christopher and Wyatt Thorstenson, Galveston, TX, Genevieve (Thomas) Anderson, East Moline, Leah and Devin Reed, Woodhull, great-grandchildren, Linkin and Ezra, siblings; Jerry (Teri) Dyer, Moline, Howard (Cindy) Dyer, Jr., and Donald Dyer, Davenport, nieces and nephew; Laura (Donald) Anderon, Wendy(Todd) Shiflet, Jason (Crystal) Dyer, Scott(Christina) Dyer, Chad(Megan) Dyer, Greg(Michelle) Dyer, and Matt (Terra) Huyten, and 17 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles.
