Obituary

Dimitri L. Martin, 34, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, in Davenport, Iowa.

Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, East Moline, Illinois. Cremation rites will be accorded. 

Dimitri Larese Martin was born September 12,  1988 in Savannah,  Tennessee; the son of Charles and Lucretia (Martin) Donelson.  He graduated from Black Hawk Area Education in 2006.  As a child, Dimitri sang at church.  He loved to play video games and basketball.  Dimitri enjoyed singing and dancing with his family. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lucretia Donelson, Rock Island, his brothers,  Charles Donelson, Jr. East Moline, and Samuel (Kathryn) Donelson,  his sisters, Annie (Chardel) Govain,  Rock Island, Alice Donelson,  Moline, and Tess Donelson,  East Moline, his brothers, Joseph (Christina) Martin, Iowa City,  Iowa, and Terrence Martin,  Davenport,  Iowa, his aunts,  Ella Mae Harris, East Moline, and Samella Fleming, Silvis,  a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Donelson, many aunts and uncles.
