Donald Fackler Obituary
Donald Fackler, 83, formerly of East Moline, passed Monday, October 12, 2015 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 16 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd, East Moline. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis.
Donald was born November 11, 1931, in DeKalb, Illinois, the son of Theodore and Ruth Fackler. He married Barbara Young September 12, 1954 at Watertown Baptist Church, East Moline. Donald was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Amatak, East Moline until their closing. He also worked for International Harvester, East Moline as tool grinder retiring in 1994. Donald was a Master Mason and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite. A favorite pastime was fishing. Donald was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; son, Donald (Vicki) Fackler, Jr. Costa Mesa, CA; grandson, Chad Fackler, Costa Mesa, CA; granddaughter, Melissa Fackler, Costa Mesa, CA; sister, Phyllis (Ron) Boysea, KY.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and eight brothers and sisters.
