Edgar Larrison Obituary
Edgar Lee Larrison, 79, of Hampton, IL, East Moline, IL and Lakeland, FL, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Trinity Rock Island. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2014, 4:00 7:00 p.m., at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, with services on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 also at the funeral home. Pastor Stacie Fidlar will officiate. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Cemetery, East Moline.
Edgar was born August 1, 1934 in Metropolis, IL, the son of Edgar and Addie (Downey) Larrison. He worked for IH East Moline for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He married L. Elaines Doyle on August 25, 1951. She preceded him in death in 1990. He married Marcia Katzenburger Dec. 11, 1999 in Port Byron. He enjoyed winters in Florida, playing euchre and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia, children, Darlene Martin, Haines City, FL, Dennis, Silvis, Larry (Julie), Rapids City, Shelley Katzenburger, Duluth, MN, Sheri (David) Webb, East Moline, Russ (Jennifer) Katzenburger and Ron Katzenburger, both of Rock Island, 27 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, brother, Arnold (Carolyn) Larrison, Colona, sister-in-law, Betty Larrison, Hampton, and many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dollie Ragsdale and brothers, Howard, Richard, Glen and Chet.
