Edith Ssamuels Obituary
Edith Mae Samuels, 87, of East Moline, IL died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Davenport.
Visitation will be 10-11 A.M. April 17, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, East Moline. Funeral will follow with Rev. P. Wonder Harris officiating. Interment will be at noon at Riverside Cemetery, Moline.
Edith was born in Fulton, MO to Catherine Anetta and Carl Graves, Sr.
Edith was retired from International Harvester. She later worked as a household aide to senior citizens. She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
Edith is survived by sons, Malcolm Carl, East Moline; Wilbert Leon, Jr, Davenport, IA; and Darryl Lynn, New Franklin, MO; sister , Brenda Joyce Graves , Alexandria, VA; maternal aunt, Dorothy E. Wilbert, Dayton, OH and cousins, Judith Lawson, St. Charles, MO; Lois Hendrix, Dayton, OH; Janie Hughes, Northridge, CA; and Erma Reid, Kirkwood, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Polly Anna Graves Saunders; and brother Carl Graves, Jr.
