Edward Rhoden Obituary
Edward D. Rhoden, 43, of Rock Island, IL, died Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Trinity Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 21, 10:00 11:00 a.m., at Greater Antioch Baptist Church, Rock Island, with services following at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Norwert Hill will officiate. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd. is handling the services.
Edward was born Feb. 1, 1970 in Chicago, IL, the son of Sarah Rhoden and Allen Williams. He worked at the Rock Island Metro for a year.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah, wife, Deatrick, sons, Cory Carter, Davenport, IA, Cornelius Carter, Dominque Carter, Edward Rhode, Jr., Deavon Rhoden, daughters, Courtney Carter, Shalekg Rhoden, all of Rock Island, sisters, Betty Rhoden, Sharah Jones, both of Davenport, 7 grandchildren, and a nephew.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lillie Rhoden, grandfather, Henry Rhoden Sr. and 2 cousins, Betty and Paul Rhoden.
