Elizabeth Webb Obituary
Elizabeth Trice Webb, 94, of Moline, IL, died Monday, July 16, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Visitation will be Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 4:00 7:00 p.m. with services on Friday, July 20, 2012, 4:00 p.m. all at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, East Moline. Rev. P. Wonder Harris will officiate. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd, East Moline is assisting the family.
Elizabeth was born July 31, 1917 in Paducah, Kentucky, the daughter of James B. and Brookie (Flowers) Trice. She married OB Webb in Charleston, MO in 1941. Elizabeth was a homemaker was also employed at Kodak Camera Co., Moline. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, bowling and gardening. She loved her church and, was a caregiver of many children, and was a Willing Worker in the church. She sang in the choir and was affectionately known as "Granny".
She is survived by her son, Glenn C. (Deborah) Webb, Moline, IL, Mike Carson, Minneapolis, MN, grandchildren, Cantrese Kande Webb-Barradas, Moline, Terrell Terry (Diane) Webb, East Moline, Jeremy Webb, Moline, and December DC Winters, Clearwater, FL, great grandchildren, Christopher R. Webb, Davenport, IA, Brittany M. Webb, Ryan A. Webb, and Grant C. Webb, East Moline, great great granddaughter, Ariana M. Webb, East Moline, and a host of her brothers childrens nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, James Arnold, Silas, Ellie Hue, Wayman, Calvin, Algie and James S., a sister, Morine and stepdaughter, Wanda Jordan.
Our Family wishes to thank all the many family members, friends and neighbors who loved and cared for Elizabeth throughout her lifetime and sickness. Thank you to Genesis Hospice, Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary and Dr. Brian Anderson and staff. If we forgot anyone, just know that although your name was not mentioned, we love and appreciate all you ever did for Granny/Elizabeth. God Bless the Webb Family.
