Eric Gugelmeyer Obituary
Eric D. Gugelmeyer, 40, of Rock Island, IL, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Moline. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 10:00 11:00 a.m., at Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, with services following at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Melvin Grimes will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Eric was born August 5, 1971 in Moline, IL, the son of Michael and Shelie (Roberson) Gugelmeyer. He married Michelle Dzekunskas on April 30, 1994. He was a self employed horticulturist and landscaper. He loved the outdoors, working outdoors and all animals. He liked playing catch with the football and hiking.
He is survived by his mother and father, wife, Michelle, daughter, Grace Gugelmeyer, Rock Island, brothers, Gabe (Lisbeth) Gugelmeyer, Davenport, IA, Jeremy (Jennifer) Gugelmeyer, Rock Island, Adam (Crystal) Gugelmeyer, Oceanside, CA, nieces and nephews Joshua, Nicholas, Alissa, Jessica, Teresa and Nathaniel.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother and 3 grandfathers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
