Ethel Bogguess Obituary
Ethel H. Bogguess, 81, of East Moline, IL, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, IA. Her visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012, 4:00 7:00 p.m. at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, with services on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. Rev. Dr. Roger Perry will officiate. Burial is in the Rock Island National Cemetery following services.
Ethel was born October 20, 1930 in Moline, the daughter of Willard and Mary Ross Burrell. She married Rolland Bogguess October 3, 1954 in Fort Riley, TX. Ethel made construction manuals at Deere and Company for 25 years retiring in 1992.
Ethel enjoyed golfing and bowling and traveled America. She loved spending time with her family. She volunteered at her church. She worked the food pantry and Rotary at the church.
She is survived by her son, Jocques Bogguess, and special friend, Robin, Cleveland, IL, grandson, Blake (Laura) Bogguess, and great grandchildren, Jazmin, Leela, and Emmett, all of East Moline, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Mansel and Edsel, and daughter, Nanette.
