Frank Doncarlos Spilman Jr.

Frank D. Spilman, Jr., 64, of Port Bryon, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Iowa University Hospitals and Clinic, Iowa City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, Illinois.  There will be a visitation two hours prior to services.  Pastor Michael Lagle will officiate.  Memorials may be made to QC Paws, Moline, Illinois. 

Frank Doncarlos Spilman, Jr. was born January 10, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois; the son of Frank D. Spilman, Sr. and Ruth Marie (Plowman) Spilman. Frank attended Moline High School.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Hamilton Technical College, Davenport, Iowa. Frank married Pamela Huberts January 20, 1989 in Davenport, Iowa.  He worked at Red Jacket, John Deere and was presently working for the Rock Island Arsenal as a Branch Chief.  Frank had the paperwork ready to retire in January, 2025. 

Frank enjoyed working with computers, motorcycles, and going out to eat.  He loved his nieces and nephews; they were very important to him.  Frank loved “Elvis” and Christmas music.  He had a special spot in his heart for his dogs, Holly and Daisy. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Pamela Spilman, Port Bryon, his children, Tiffany Spilman, and Timothy Paul Spilman, his grandchild, Marshal Spilman, his siblings, Debbie Spilman, Milan, James Henry (Connie) Spilman, Moline, and Michael Spilman, Colorado,

 his nieces and nephews, Becca Lagle, Margie Rice, Jerone Able, Norallene Able, and Nicole Apple.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank, Sr. and Marie Spilman.
