Herman McHenry Obituary
Herman Billy McHenry Jr., 64, of Bethalto, IL, formerly of Rock Island, IL, died at his home on Sunday, January 22, 2012. Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 4:00 7:00 p.m. and services on Tuesday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m., at Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline. Rev. Tyson Parks will officiate. Burial is at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
Billy was born September 29, 1947 in Forest City, Arkansas to Herman and Gloria (Howard) McHenry Sr. He was in the Army and served during the Vietnam War. He married Connie (Logsdon) McHenry. He had various jobs throughout his lifetime. He was a wrestler, loved to fish, and socializing. He was a good cook and enjoyed watching movies.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria Estridge, Rock Island, wife, Connie, Bethalto, IL, sons, Tisean McHenry, Davenport, IA, Alphon (Jackie) Carrell, Detroit, Michigan, Brock Jones, Davenport, IA, Sean (Kia) Fallon, El Paso, TX, John Jr" (Tuosonda) Adams, Bethalto, IL, daughters, Yakanez Connie (Chris) Carr, Davenport, IA, Bengie Tyson, Rock Island, IL, Angie (Daniel) Dunning, Alton, IL, 22 grandchildren, sister, Barbara (Milo) McCowan, Rock Island, brothers, Dwight McHenry, Rock Island, and Emmett (Singleton) McHenry, Great Falls, VA . He is preceded in death by his father, brother and son.
