Howard Armstrong, 31, of East Moline passed away surrounded by his family and friends, Friday March 27, 2026 at University of Iowa City.
Services will be at 12:00 p.m. April 6, 2026 with a visitation prior starting at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, East Moline. Pastor P. Wonder Harris will officiate. Burial will be at Hampton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Howard was a 2013 graduate from United Township High School, East Moline. He last worked at Deere Harvester Works, East Moline as a maintenance operator. Howard enjoyed making music and playing the Xbox with his friends. he had many lifelong friends that he mentored through rough times while fighting his own battles. Howard’s biggest achievement in life was becoming a father to his daughter, Sofia.
Howard is survived by his beloved daughter Sofia Armstrong of East Moline, mother and step-father Monica and James Maid of East Moline, father Howard Armstrong Jr of Oklahoma, sisters Chasity Armstrong of Texas, Raveen (Elliott) Kelso of Moline, Sydni Armstrong of East Moline, step-sister Jasmine Maid of Memphis, brother Anterio Armstrong of Rock island, nephew Elijah Willey of Moline, nieces Ellie and Eastyn Kelso of Moline, godparents Ladietra Higgins of Memphis and Kathleen Gardner of Minnesota, mother of Sofia Rachel Kuehl of East Moline, a host of aunts and uncles and very dear friends. He was proceeded in death by his maternal great grandparents and grandparents as well as his fraternal great grandparents and grandparents.
The family would like to thank University of Iowa Health Care for the tremendous care given to Howard during this difficult time.
