Idamae Keegan Obituary
Idamae Keegan, 83, of Moline, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at HCR Manor Care, Moline.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11a.m. Monday, March 23, at Sullivan-Elllis Mortuary, East Moline. A memorial service will follow and her son, Pastor John Risse, will officiate. Interment will be at 12:00pm at Rock Island National Cemetery
Idamae was born March 17, 1932, in Moline, the daughter of Peter VanOpdorp and Lina Wigant VanOpdorp. She married John M. Keegan May 19, 1956. Mr. Keegan proceeded her in death on July 13, 2010.
Idamae was a circulation supervisor for The Moline Dispatch. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family at their River House. She also enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and playing games, especially Euchre with her kids and most of all her beloved grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by those whose lives she touched.
Idamae is survived by her sons, Thomas (Elaine) Risse, Tejeras, NM.; John (Diane) Risse, Glasgow, KY.; Michael (Julie) Keegan, East Moline; Martin Keegan, Rock Island; and Brian (Denise) Keegan, Matthews, NC. She leaves behind 15 treasured grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and many brothers and sister in-laws.
