Jackie "Jack" L. Shuh, 78, of Colona, Illinois, died Wednesday, October 09, 2013 at Trinity Rock Island. Visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2013, 4:00 7:00 p.m., at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., with services on Saturday, October 12, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Gene A. Meyers will officiate. Burial is in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona.
Jack was born March 22, 1935 in Carbon Cliff, IL, the son of Dwight and Lucille (Brusso) Shuh. He married Lora Tucker in 1961. He worked as a melting furnace operator at John Deere for 30 years retiring in 1986.
He loved to play shuffle board. Jack was one of the top tournament players in the Quad Cities. He belonged to the Eagles Club for many years. He was an avid follower of Hank Williams and the old time country greats. He enjoyed fishing and Nascar Racing, and his favorite place to be was the Eagles Club with all of his friends, and most of all loved spending time with his daughters.
He is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Russ) Kirkhove, East Moline, IL and Jacqueline Jackie (Steven) Haskins, Rock Island, IL. Jack is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charlie.
