James Wendell Daly, 83, East Moline, died February 2, 2021, at home.
He was cremated.
James aka John, was born August 11, 1937, in Galesburg to Delphard I. Daly and Maza E. Stegall Daly.
He married Mary Lou Schnieber, then later divorced and married Florence Schalk.
Mr. Daly was in the air force, worked at Mills Chevrolet as a car salesman, worked at John Deere, and ran a computer business.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles, and country music.
Mr. Daly spent most of his childhood in orphanages in Galesburg, separated from his elder siblings.
Survivors include his first wife, children, Linda Liby, Alpha, John (Lynn) Daly, Grand Junction, Co, Gary (Shawn) Daly, Alpha, and Mary Jo (Adam) Hendron, Nashville, TN; stepdaughter Julie (Elmer) Kelly; sister, Delores (Joe “Bud”) Hennenfent, New Windsor; grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; stepdaughter Pam Davis, stepson Anthony Schalk, brother Marvin Eugene Hottel.
