Janet C. Burke, 87, of East Moline, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services.
Janet Clairece Sims was born November 1, 1932; the daughter of Thomas Harold Sims and Zelma Mae (Spitznogle) Sims. Janet was educated in the Davenport, IA school system. She was a homemaker. Janet married Paul E. “Sonny” Burke in Idabel, Oklahoma, in 1979. They later divorced.
Janet, in her younger years, was a rancher in Oklahoma; hogs and chickens. She enjoyed going to yard sales and playing bingo.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Vickie Olson, Davenport, Iowa, Mickie (James) Smock, Moline, Illinois, Jackie (Brian) Stickle, Colona, Illinois, Gary (Madeline) Strang, DeKalb, Texas, Robin (Scott) Paine, Sanger, Texas, Thomas Craig, Buffalo, Missouri, Nancy (Robert) Jeffreis, Fairfield, California, Tim (Patricia) Craig, Buffalo, Missouri, James (Kimberly) Craig, Buffalo, Missouri, Patricia (Carl) Craig, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Barbara Craig, Amboy, Illinois, twenty five grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, her sister, Deanna (Terry) Anderson, East Moline, Illinois, and her brother, Michael (Mary) Fix, Moline, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
