Janette Sanders Obituary
Janette M. Sanders, 96, of Orlando, Florida, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at her home.
A visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm Monday, October 18, 2021 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd, 1902-3rd Avenue, East Moline. A graveside services will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mike Stentoumis will officiate. Memorials may be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Janette Maxine Moon was born January 30, 1925 in Annawan, Illinois; the daughter of John and Hazel (Shaw) Moon. She married George J. Sanders, August 4, 1946. Janette was employed at the Arsenal during World War II. She later worked as a ward secretary at the former Lutheran Hospital. Janette retired in 1985, moving from Chicago to Maitland, Florida. Janette loved entertaining family and friends with her famous pies and Greek dishes.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert Sanders, Orlando Florida, her daughter, Debbie “DJ” Sanders, Davenport, Iowa, her grandchildren, Kim, BG, and Mike, and her great grandchildren, Tristan, Jake, Alex, and KC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
