Jean Flemmings Obituary
Jean D. Austin Flemmings, 77, of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of East Moline, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at Ceder Sinai Medical Center Beverly Hills CA. Visitation will be Sept. 11, 2013, 12:00 1:00 p.m., at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, East Moline, with services following at 1:00 p.m. Rev. P. Wonder Harris is officiating. Burial is in Hampton Township Cemetery. Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline is assisting the family.
Jean was born February 18, 1936 in Okmulgee, OK, the daughter of Peter and Myra Dorman. She married Gene Austin and later David Flemmings. She was the best cook on the planet, loved to fish and was always on the phone.
She is survived by her children, Charles Austin, Sheri Austin and Glynnis Gillings, brother, Kenneth Dorman and sister, Kathy Phillips, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, John.
