Jefferson was affectionally known as “Boot”.  He held many jobs thru his life.  At a young age, he worked at the Deli as a meat cutter at the Spot Lite, the neighborhood grocery store.  Boot was the head cook at Al’s Grill Restaurant.  He also worked for H and L Mattress Company.  Boot worked for L and L Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.

He enjoyed watching “Westerns”, shutting pool, and playing with his grandchildren.  Boot was always a joy to be around.  He always had fun whether it was dancing or telling one of his many stories.  Boot loved to skate and could skate backwards like no body-else could. He loved to dress in his tailor- made clothes with his initials sewn on the back pocket and his Stacy Adams shoes.

He leaves to celebrate his life four son, Anton (Hope), LA CA, Lamont, Moline, IL, Keith (Susan) East Moline, IL, and Andre (Jennifer), Silvis, IL , his daughters, Carolyn,  Chicago, IL, and Shatara (Lamont), Milan, his grandchildren, Cassandra, Adrian, Jayvonda, Amber, Marcellous, Nia, Andre Jr.,  Zhanelle, Avant, Jahari, Avery, Jordan, Kaleb, Zai,  and Laniyah, his great-grandchildren,  Carly, Adonis, Joshuwa, Parker, Molina, and Ezra,  his brothers, Jerome (Lorraine) and Pastor Henry Farmby (Dorothy), his sisters, Gloria Bernadine, Helen, Patricia (Robert), and Carolyn, a host of relatives and friends.
