Jennifer R. (Bainbridge) De Fauw

 

The world became a more joyous place on October 9th, 1947, the day that Jennifer Raye Bainbridge-DeFauw was born. Jennifer has sadly passed away at 75 on December 28th, 2022 after a long and happy life. She leaves behind her husband, Dale DeFauw; sister, Jerre; brother: Tex, and her children, Colleen, Kelly and Jeff and extended family.  She will be sorely missed.

 

Jennifer spent a lifetime at John Deere building the machinery that has fed a nation. She was a vocal and active supporter of the working man and middle class America.  

 

Jennifer loved to bring beauty to the world by sewing Halloween costumes and blankets, painting pictures and crafting decor for every holiday. Her beauty and spirit will grace our lives and homes for years to come.

 

Jennifer also loved to read. She would read about everything from vampire lovers to communist politics. She adored finding new and interesting people to debate over the things she learned. She taught us all to study the world around us, use the minds she gave us and challenge the status quo (respectfully if possible).

 

The world knew our mother as Mom. Everyone was a friend at her kitchen table and no one ever left hungry or empty handed. She loved her family more than we deserved. She would protect all of us, at times even from ourselves. She is woven into the fabric of who we all are and that will never change.  

 

The family has asked that you consider planting a memorial tree instead of sending flowers. We are planning a celebration of life ceremony for Jennifer in the spring or summer of 2023.
