Joann Watford

Joann Watford, 61, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.

A visitation will be 11:00-12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd, 1902-3rd Avenue, East Moline, Illinois.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m.  Rev. Kenneth Porter will do the eulogy.  Cremation rites will be accorded. 

Joann Watford was born November 3, 1959 in Rock Island, Illinois; the daughter of Roosevelt and LueElla (Simmons) Watford.  Joann worked as a janitor at the Rock Island Arsenal, last working in 2002.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, East Moline.  Joann was a fun-loving person and a dear friend to all.  She enjoyed getting her hair, nails, and make-up done.  Joann enjoyed art and listening to the “Oldies”.  She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.  Joann was known for her long extravagant nails.

Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Lillie (Michael) Thomas, Rock Island, Illinois, Elois (William) Hughes, Moline, Illinois, Audrey Hicks, Moline, Illinois, Gwen (Jeannette) Watford, Moline, Illinois, Robert Taylor Jr. Moline, Illinois, Roosevelt (Katrina) Watford, Cleveland, Ohio, special aunt, Jannie Simmons, East Moline, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and LueElla Watford, her nephew, Trovelle Watford, her niece, Keeshanta Watford and her infant twin daughters, Ayana and Oscsiella Watford.
