Justin Owen Hoskins

Justin Owen Hoskins, 35, of Eldridge, Iowa passed away in Davenport, Iowa on July 10, 2023. 

Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, East Moline. Pastor P. Wonder Harris will officiate. There will be a visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Hampton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses C/O Hallie Eller. 

Justin Hoskins was born November 11th, 1987. Justin was the son of James Hoskins and Janie McKenzie. He graduated from Moline High School in 2006. Justin participated in football, playing running back, where he got his nickname known to many as “Juice”. He enjoyed sporting events and vacations with his family. Justin loved collecting hats, watches, and shoes. His outgoing and infectious personality would light up any room. He was the friend that you could count on to make you laugh. Justin enjoyed spending time with his children. Always laughing while teaching them new things like how to ride a bike, throw a football, or racing them trying to relive his “glory days”. He will be remembered as a great dad. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, James Hoskins, of Mississippi, and Janie McKenzie, Moline, his children, Jesse and Kamilah Eller, Tara and Trey Hoskins, Hallie Eller (mother of children), all of Eldridge; his sisters Janice (Mike) McKenzie-Drummond, Janeen McKenzie, Jennifer McKenzie all of Davenport, Annette Watson of Des Moines; his nieces and nephews, Kelsey Branigan of Atlanta, N’Keemeha Harris of Baton Rouge, Nykeyah Edwards, Montgomery, Myles Drummond, Atlanta, Jayden and Julian McKenzie of Moline, and Michael Drummond Jr. of Rock Island. 

He was preceded in death by his nephew Kelton Trice and his uncle Samuel McKenzie.
