Kayrie Eve Desmond

Kayrie E. Desmond, 36, of East Moline, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois. 

A Celebration of Life will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline.  Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life.  Memorials may be made to the family C/O Jennie Roberson for funeral expenses.  Burial will follow at Hampton Township Cemetery.

Kayrie Eve Desmond was born November 23, 1986 in Silvis; the daughter of John Lewis and Pamela Lister Van Rycke.  She was a 2005 graduate of United Township High School, East Moline.  Kayrie was a homemaker and mother.  She loved to draw, dance, listen to music, write poems and cook.  Above all, she enjoyed being with her children.  They were number 1 in her life. 

Those left to cherish her memories are her mother, Pamela Van Rycke, East Moline, step-father, Ray Meyers,  Port Byron, her fiance, Seth Logan, Port Byron, her beloved children, Nyles Richard Martin, Eldridge, Iowa, Kolby Logan, Port Byron, and Taylor Logan, Port Byron,  her siblings, Jennie (Ron) Roberson,  Moline, Crystal Desmond, Davenport,  Rodney Van Rycke, East Moline, Donna Lewis Pate,  Beaumont, Texas,  Delilah Lewis, and Jason Lewis, stepsisters, Kimberly Meyers,  and Amber Meyers,  host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, John Lewis, grandparents, George and Dorothy Lister, her uncle, Bryan Lister, and her aunt, Debbie Lister.
