Kenneth Rene Morrow, age 59, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 3:05 a.m., with his baby sister, Jameane Williams, at his bedside holding his hand.
Born on July 19, 1966, in Rock Island, Illinois, Kenneth was the cherished son of the late Raymond Louis Morrow, Sr. and the late Lettie Mae McQuieter. Known affectionately as “Kenny,” he graduated from Rock Island High School in 1984 and proudly joined the United States Marine Corps in the summer of that same year. An honorable Marine veteran, Kenny carried the deep convictions, discipline, and faithfulness of military service throughout his entire life, often stating that the Marines helped shape him into the man he became.
To his family, Kenny was a pillar of strength and wisdom. He was most notably a devoted fisherman and gardener, finding peace and joy in nature. Coming from a long line of Morrows, his upbeat spirit and true joie de vivre were the heart of every gathering. His laughter, presence, and genuine love for life left a lasting imprint on all who knew him.
Kenneth Rene Morrow will be remembered for his immense inner strength, his courage in facing life head-on, and his generous, brotherly heart. By the good grace of God, he is now reunited with his beloved mother, to whom he remained a loving and devoted son until his final breath.
Mr. Morrow leaves to cherish his memory his last living brother, Carlos A. Bolton; five sisters; a daughter; grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a loving sister-in-law in Germany, Judith Bolton. He is also lovingly remembered by Boo and family, from those who knew him best, with enduring love.
There will be no services as per his wishes. He will be laid to rest at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
