Lillian fox Obituary
Lillian C. Fox, 99, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline. Visitation will be Monday, December 16, 2013, 4:00 7:00 p. m. with Rosary at 4:00 p.m., at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, with services on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, 9:00 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church, Hampton, IL. Revs. Glenn H. Harris and Duane Jack will officiate. Burial will follow at Hampton Township Cemetery.
Lillian was born October 24, 1914 in Hart, MI, the daughter of Charles and Mamie (Greiner) Schaner. She married Arthur Fox on June 19, 1937. Lillian had her own catering business for 30 years and retired in 1995.
Lillian was a charter member of Tri City Motorcycle Club, RI County Home Extension, 4H Leader, St. Marys Altar and Rosary Society, founder of the St. Marys Rosary Makers, NW Area Cursillo, and Leo Council Knights of Columbus Auxilliary. She was always there to help people and could never say no.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Rose) Fox, Porter, IN, Gerald (Laurie) Fox, Zeeland, MI, Robert (Margo) Fox, Long Grove, IA, James Fox, Grimes, IA, daughter, Judith Fox, Moline, IL, grandchildren, David, Maria, Alanna, Ben, Matt, Lindsey, Jason, Heather, Michael, Skyler, Andy, Jennifer and Jon, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and sister, Dorothy Gryp, Atlanta, GA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 74 years, 7 brothers, daughter, Mary, daughter-in-law, Roxanne, and granddaughter, Anita Fox.
Charitable memorials may be made to St. Marys Catholic Church, NW Area Cursillo, Rosary Makers or Roxanne Fox Foundation for Youth Enrichment.
