Lois Lavina (Call) Taulbee

Lois L. Taulbee, 84, of Erie, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Genesis Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois. 

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., 1902-3^rd Avenue East Moline, Illinois. Visitation will be one hour before services. Rev. Scott Culley will officiate.  Burial will follow at Newton Township Cemetery, Erie.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Lois Lavina Call was born January 27, 1937 in Carbon Cliff, Illinois; the daughter of George Washington and Bernice Pearl (Gager) Call. Lois was one of ten children, she was the seventh.  She attended United Township High School.   Lois married James Taulbee, January 22, 1955 at Watertown Baptist Church, East Moline.  She was proud to be a mother and homemaker. 

Lois enjoyed making her own Christmas cards, knitting and crocheting, and making teddy bears from old coats.  She enjoyed playing video games, telling stories to her children and grandchildren; Lois was a kid at heart.   

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, James Taulbee, Erie, her children, Patricia (Mike) Lambrecht, Hillsdale, Illinois, Brenda (Kevin) Kuelper, Grand Rapids, MI, Diana (Joe) Cardosi-Bussone, CA, James (Cindy) Taulbee, Jr., Colchester, Illinois, 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Wesley Call, Belvidere, Illinois, Earnest (Lavonne) Call, Chicago, Illinois, and Dale Call, TX, and her sister, Shirley (Larry) Danielson, Davenport, Iowa. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Theresa Kirby, her grandson, Michael Rick, her sisters, Ina Pettit, Norma Caudry, and Vivian Grymonprez, her brothers, Forrest Call, and Jerry Call.
