Lue Watford Obituary
Lue Ella "Fruit" Watford, 70, of Moline, IL, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island. Visitation will be Thursday, June 14, 2012, 6:00 8:00 p.m., at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, East Moline, with services on Friday, June 15, 11:00 a.m. Rev. P. Wonder Harris will officiate. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline.
Lue Ella was born January 3, 1942 in Hale County, Alabama, the daughter of Strander and Vinnie (Thornton) Simmons. She married Roosevelt Watford who preceded her in death.
She enjoyed antiques and collected dolls. Lue liked to play bingo and enjoyed cooking. She was an usher at Mt. Zion. Lue Ellas family was her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Lillie (Michael) Thomas, Rock Island, Elois (William) Hughes, Moline, Joann Watford, East Moline, Audrey (Michael) Hicks, Jeanette Watford and son, Robert Taylor, all of Moline,15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sisters, Adline Hollie, Anniston, AL, Marie Drew, East Moline, Lizzie Patterson, Rock Island, Mary Watson, East Moline, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters, grandson, and granddaughter.
