M Clark Obituary
M. Lucile Clark, 98, formerly of Delavan, IL, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL. Graveside services will be Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 11:00 a. m., at Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin, IL, with visitation Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 4:00 6:00 p.m. at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline. Rev. Joye Perry will officiate.
Lucile was born in Tazwell County, Boynton Township, IL on January 22, 1916, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth Shade Stauffer. She graduated from Delavan High School in 1934 and married Leo E. Clark in 1938. He passed away in 1970.
She was employed for many years in the dietary departments of the Delavan Schools and for the State of Illinois at the Lincoln Developmental Center for 16 years, retiring in 1981.
Lucile enjoyed needlework, playing cards and working on crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Delavan Methodist Church. She moved to East Moline in 2000.
Survivors include daughters, Roberta (Jerry) Gilbert, Peoria, IL, Rebecca (Lyman) Prettyman, East Moline, daughter-in-law, Dorothy Clark, (son, Dale passed away in 2001); 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, son, Dale, 3 great granddaughters, 2 sisters and one brother.
Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church and Delavan Methodist Church.
