Mary Eller Obituary
Mary E. Eller, 88, of Moline, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Aspen Health and Rehab Center, Silvis. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. She will be buried in Glendale Memorial Park, Pekin, IL.
Mary was born January 19, 1924 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of George and Julia (Scrimger) Champion. She married Eldon W. Eller on September 10, 1944 in Pekin, IL. He preceded her in death in 2010.
She was a salesperson for CAT, Bergners, Wards, Silvis Hy-Vee and also sold Avon. She liked to read, crafts, sewing, walking and bicycling. Mary enjoyed volunteering for various organizations. She enjoyed texting her granddaughters and loved the computer. She always liked new technology. For her 70th birthday, she took a hot air balloon ride!
She is survived by her son, William Eller, Chicago, IL, daughters, Penny (Daniel) Van Zile, OHallandale Beach, FL, Linda (Larry) Sorenson, Clarion, IA, Kathleen (Jerry) Hathaway, Geneseo, IL, grandchildren, Katherine Van Zile, Elizabeth (Jeff) Gillespie, Eric Sorenson, Ryan (Candi) Sorenson, Kimberly Hathaway, Kelly Hathaway, great grandson, Ben Gillespie and great granddaughters, Sophia Gillespie and Chloe Sorenson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her younger sister and a younger brother.
