Mary Elizabeth (Wyant) Fast

Mary E. Fast, 71, of Moline, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Genesis Hospital Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline.  Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the funeral home.  Cremation rites will be accorded after services. Pastor Scott Culley will officiate.  Memorials maybe made to Animal Aid Humane Society, Moline, Illinois.

Mary Elizabeth Wyant was born June 8, 1952 in Rock Island, Illinois; the daughter of William Theodore and Virginia (Reger) Wyant. She married Robert Fast November 26, 1971 in Milan, Missouri. Mary last worked as a crossing guard for the Moline Schools. She loved her children and grandkids dearly.  Mary loved her cats and she enjoyed taking photos of them.  She enjoyed reading and going to comic conventions. Mary was a big Star Wars and Star Trek fan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Robert Fast, Moline, her mother, Virginia Corwin, Colona, her daughter, Stacy (Michael) Forde, Moline, her son, Robert (Melissa) Fast, Jr., Colona, her grandchildren, Elizabeth Rayne-Fast Forde, Moline, Robert Fast III, Colona, Zachary Fast, Colona, and Alex Fast, Colona, her siblings, Ray Wyant, Colona, Eugene Wyant, Oklahoma, and Betty Wyant, Colona, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, William Wyant, her brothers, Doug Wyant and John Christopher Wyant, her aunt, Delia Yardley, her cousin, Barb Reger, her uncles, Leonard and Bob Wyant, her grandmother Reger, and her beloved cats, Jamie, Mandy, Pumpkin, and Sneakers.
